Turkish to Uzbek Bridge Project
The Turkish Flagship (2012-2020) is an undergraduate program at Indiana University that provides students the opportunity to attain professional language proficiency through classroom learning, extracurricular activities, and overseas study, including a year in Turkey. Students also have the opportunity to further their Turkic language studies by bridging from Turkish to Uzbek. Since Turkish and Uzbek belong to same language family, students expected to learn Uzbek in a short period of time.
My role in this program: Design and develop Turkish to Uzbek Bridge Project materials, including a project website, and developing Turkish for Specific Purposes and Rapid Language Learning courses. These courses aim to bring students to advanced level after acquiring Turkish.
Focus of the program: Grant writing, curriculum design, backward design, creating instructional materials, and content and website development.

English for Academic Purposes Curriculum Design
University of Washington Seattle received a grant (2003-2004) to collaborate with five institutions in Uzbekistan in order to exchange visiting scholars to develop a curriculum on comparative religious studies. Within this program, academics of five institutions in Uzbekistan studied English for academic purposes, collaborated with their colleagues in America, and prepared for research trips. Three English teachers developed three levels of English for Academic purpose course under my guidance.

Focus of the program: Curriculum design, translation, teacher training, and program coordination

Uzbek and Turkish Language and Cluster Course Designs
In the summer of 2004, I coordinated Advanced level Uzbek program in Uzbekistan. I have developed curriculum for introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels of Uzbek both individually and in collaboration with my colleagues at Indiana University and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. During overseas program coordination, I had to train language teachers, conduct workshops, and organize extracurricular activities.
National University of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies offer the Turkish language as a Foreign language class. I worked at the Turkic Languages section of these institutions during 1990-2004. I developed curriculum for two different audiences: students of Turkic language and literature department and students of International economic relations department.
My role in this program: I developed Introductory and Intermediate course designs along with Turkish to Uzbek Translation Basics, Turkish Media, and Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language course designs.
Focus of the program: Curriculum design, materials development, teaching, and assessment
